Birthday Party for Laura/X-23
It's a pretty low-key party, all things considered, and not significantly different than the one Parker or Meg would have thrown in a dorm room for a friend at home, not-exactly-traditional menu not withstanding.
There's music, low enough to talk over (and maybe with a little more folk in the mix than one expects to find a party). Balloons and streamers in purple and blue and red. A place to leave presents. People to meet or catch up with.
And, most importantly, a chance to wish X-23 (or Laura) a very happy birthday.

Re: Hang out with X-23
X is much better at breaking things. Messily.
But she is careful with the root beer.
She even returns with several bottles.
And a waitrat with several more.
Clearly she is queen of stealth.
Re: Hang out with X-23
But the rootbeer (and the returning friend) definitely gets a grin. Cass has cleverly snagged a quart of icecream in order to ensure that a second trip doesn't have to be made. Because that would be very sad.
Re: Hang out with X-23
And X keeps herself busy setting out more root beer for a second.
Then she takes a couple empty glasses and two bottles of root beer, and heads over to join Cass.
Re: Hang out with X-23
For which she has failed to obtain a scoop.
Oops?
Re: Hang out with X-23
X could cut chunks of ice-cream with the knife Rose gave her for Christmas, or she could go get a spoon.
Guess which option she chooses?
Re: Hang out with X-23
And Rose has taste!
Re: Hang out with X-23
And the knife is metaphorically X, too. Surely this makes it nicer.
And now they can pour root beer over the ice cream.
Everyone wins.
Re: Hang out with X-23
Cass takes her glass and lifts it in another silent salute. It's apparently a tradition now?
Re: Hang out with X-23
Yes.
It is definitely a tradition.
